LOUISVILLE, KY (December 13, 2012) – Charah®, Inc., a leading provider of coal combustion product management and power plant support services for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today that Rob Reynolds has joined the management team as Vice President of Utility Relations – Eastern Region, effective November 12, 2012. He is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and is responsible for developing
and maintaining relationships with utility customers based in the eastern United States.
Mr. Reynolds has more than 25 years of experience in the electrical utility industry, most recently with Progress Energy Carolinas where he served as Project Manager, responsible for the creation and implementation of a comprehensive coal combustion management strategy. Prior to his eleven years with Progress Energy, Mr. Reynolds worked for LG&E Power, Inc. in North Carolina from 1993 to 2001 where he managed two power plants.
Mr. Reynolds graduated with highest honors from North Carolina Wesleyan with a bachelor of science degree in business. He also served in the U.S. Navy where he supervised the operation and maintenance of the nuclear power plant aboard the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower nuclear aircraft carrier.
