EcoAggregate™: a coarse aggregate typically used as base material for commercial building pads, asphalt aggregate, road base, and chip and seal aggregate. EcoAggregate™ is a recycled, non-hazardous, bottom ash aggregate that is typically a +3/8″ clean product. EcoAggregate™ can replace traditional raw materials such as sand and limestone in construction applications, thus conserving natural resources.
EcoSand™: a coarse sand typically used as fill sand, pipe bedding, drainage medium, traction control material, road base material, chip and seal aggregate, and base material for commercial building pads, flowable fills, concrete mix, and asphalt. EcoSand™ is an aggregate source used in QUIKRETE® products in select markets. EcoSand™ is a recycled, non-hazardous, bottom ash aggregate that is typically -3/8″ having similar gradation to concrete sand. EcoSand™ can replace traditional raw materials such as sand and limestone in construction applications thus conserving natural resources.
EcoFill™: an all-weather fill material easily worked in wet conditions that achieves greater than 95% Standard Proctor compaction and is used for backfill applications, GreenFill™ engineered fill applications and flowable fill applications. EcoFill™ is a recycled, non-hazardous ash fill material consisting of a blend of fly ash and bottom ash that can replace traditional raw materials such as dirt, gravel, and sand in fill applications.
All of these recycled products typically replace traditional raw materials in construction applications, thus conserving natural resources. In addition, use of Charah’s EcoProducts line of aggregates can assist projects in qualifying for LEED points.
